The crest of Headquarters Multinational Division South-East unites two symbols of vigilance and collective defence. At its centre stands the draco — the ancient Dacian battle standard, attested on Trajan’s Column — rendered in gold upon the NATO compass rose. The draco embodies the warrior heritage of the land the Division defends; the compass rose, the unity and shared purpose of the Alliance whose flag it serves.
Together, on the dark green field of the land forces, they express a single idea: an Alliance rooted in this region, watchful over its South-Eastern Flank.
