EAGLE ROYAL 2023
HQ MND-SE led the live fire exercise “EAGLE ROYAL 23”, the first edition a Combined Field Artillery training, aimed to test artillery systems interoperability between France, Romania and US.
It was the first joint launch of HIMARS systems from Romanian 8th Field Artillery Brigade and French MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) from the Romanian Battle Group, with the support of 101st Airborne Division (USA).
350 soldiers and 60 vehicles participated at this exercise, organized in Capu Midia firing range.
The Chief of the Defense Staff, General Daniel Petrescu and Lieutenant General John S. Kolasheski, Commanding General V Corps, joined Major General Dorin Toma, Commander of HQ MND-SE, for EAGLE ROYAL 23 exercise in Capu Midia.
