2.000 soldiers from Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, North Macedonia, Montenegro and US from Bulgarian Battle Group with Italy as framework nation – BGR BG (ITA FN) plus Bulgarian 1st Mechanized Battalion from 2nd Mechanized Brigade conducted a live exercise in Koren. Italy participated also with HQ “Pinerolo” Brigade and ELY assets (CH47) coming from 1st Antares Regiment.
Lieutenant General Pietro Serino, Chief of Italian Army, and Major General Deyan Deshkov, Bulgarian Land Forces Commander, assisted to a demonstration with troops from BGR BG (ITA FN) and Bulgarian soldiers under ”Pinerolo” Brigade command in Novo Selo Training Area.
Italian ”Pinerolo” Brigade has the capability to deploy an HQ in short time notice on eastern flank of NATO with the ability to conduct Command and Control (C2 capability) on five BG simultaneously.
