NATO VJTF ARRIVAL IN ROMANIA

 
 GIURGIU, ROU – Today convoys represent the main body of the NATO’s Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) land component, and consists in about 250 soldiers and around 125 combat vehicles, entered Romania for NATO Exercise Noble Jump 2021. Overall, the VJTF brigade forces consists in more 4000 soldiers and 600 combat vehicles deployed to Romania in order to participate in the biggest NATO exercise, Steadfast Defender 2021 (STDE 21).
 
The MND SE HQ’s main role in the exercise is to conduct the Reception, Staging, Onward Movement (RSOM), to NATO deploying forces to ROU, in coordination with HN-ROU, our higher HQ, Joint Force Command Naples (JFCNP) and the NRF troops Sending Nations (SNs).

 

 

Chief-of-Staff of Headquarters Multinational Division South-Est (HQ MND-SE), COL Ovidiu Lungu, welcomed the Turkish contingent and talked about the important role of the HQ in the exercise within an interview made by ROU military media.

 

The Turkish soldiers will join the other participants in the ROU Joint National Training Center, Cincu, Braşov County.
