Command Sergeant Major Marius G. STOIAN
Command Sergeant Major (OR-9) Marius G. STOIAN assumed his duties as Command Senior Enlisted Leader Headquarters Multinational Division South-East on December 1st, 2019.
Marius G. STOIAN has held a variety positions in armor and mechanized infantry organizations from squad to Command Sergeant Major level.
Between 2012 and 2015, he was the Senior Enlisted Advisor of the Chief of Romanian Land Forces Staff.
Command Sergeant Major Marius G. STOIAN is a native of Focsani, Vrancea county, and entered the Army on August 23rd, 1986. He attended NCO’s Armored Military School at Pitesti on August 23rd, 1988.
During his 33-year career he has served in positions from tank commander, Human Resources, Current Operations and C.I.M.I.C staff assistant, Brigade Command Sergeant Major, Senior Enlisted Advisor of the Chief of Romanian Land Forces Staff, Human Resources Defense Staff, Staff Assistant Command Group NATO Force Integration Unit Romania, to his current NATO position.
His assignments include the 3rd Armored Battalion Mihai Bravu, the 28th Armored Regiment Tîrgoviste, the 3rd Infantry Battalion Focsani, the 284th Armored Battalion Focsani, the 1st ANA Armored Training Team Afghanistan, the 6th ANA Armored Training Team Afghanistan, the 282nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade Focsani, the 3rd Stryker Brigade (CTFAH) Afghanistan, ROU Land Forces, ROU Defense Staff and NATO Force Integration Unit.
Command Sergeant Major Marius G. STOIAN’s military education includes NCO’s Armored Military School, Master Sergeant Course, Commander Counselor Course, (USASMA) United States Army Sergeant Major Academy (Class 59), NATO NCO Advanced Leadership Course.
Command Sergeant Major Marius G. STOIAN `s awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, the Meritorious Award for 15 years in the Military Service, the 3rd Meritorious Badge for Peace Service, the 1st Medal for Military Service, the Meritorious Award for 20 years in the Military Service, the Honorary Citizen of the City of El Paso, the NATO Medal Non – Article 5, the Meritorious Award for 25 years in the Military Service, the Combat Action Badge for the 3rd mission in Afghanistan and Honorary Member of USASMA International Students’ Hall of Fame.
